I’m standing as a candidate for Labor in the electorate of Franklin at the next state election.
A proud Tasmanian, I have lived in Hobart all my life. I live on the eastern shore with Rachel, & our son William. I have always believed in a fair go for all, & a society that delivers for the many, not just the few.
I have spent my entire working life representing working families in Tasmania, fighting for permanent jobs, better wages, protection of penalty rates & safe workplaces. I believe permanent employment, secure jobs & fair pay are integral to giving families a chance at buying a home, putting food on the table & raising children. Permanent employment means we can have strong & thriving communities & a healthy economy.
If elected I will be a strong voice in parliament for working families when it comes to access to health services. The current health crisis, bed block in the Royal Hobart Hospital & long waiting lists is not good enough. Tasmanian working families deserve better, & if elected I will push hard for more investment in health services for Tasmanians.
I look forward to meeting & listening to as many people as possible to find out the issues that affect our community in the coming months.
For me to be successful I also need your help & support in my campaign. If you can support me in any way, whether that’s poster sites, door knocking, letter boxing or just talking to your friends & family on my behalf, please get in touch if you can help.
