Chris Lynch
Labor Candidate for Braddon
Chris Lynch is a hardworking and respected North West Coaster who has served on the Burnie City Council since 2014 and works with people living with disabilities and their families, as well as youth, education and the arts.
Having lived on the North West Coast since he was in primary school, Chris is all too familiar with the challenges faced by his community, and is passionate about making it a better place where people can work, live and thrive.
Chris’s long history of serving his community demonstrates his deep commitment to removing the barriers many people in the region face so that no-one is held back or left behind.
Chris knows the region needs more decent, well-paying jobs so that young people aren’t forced to leave the region but can instead live, work and raise their families there.
He also understands the impact the lack of adequate health services in the North West and wants to ensure everyone has access to timely healthcare close to where they live.
As well as his role as a Burnie City Councillor, Chris’s involvement with a number of school associations and neighbourhood houses has motivated him to help empower people in his community by improving education, youth, disability and the arts.
