Luke is Labor’s Member for Pembroke, representing Hobart’s Eastern Shore.
Luke was elected in September 2022 after knocking on thousands of doors, making hundreds of phone calls, attending community events and mobile office events across the Eastern Shore.
Luke had thousands of conversations about housing, health care, education, climate change, jobs and transport but one thing was certain, cost of living is the number one issue for people in our community.
Fighting for real action to tackle the cost of living is Luke’s number one priority.
Luke believes the Government should be doing everything in its power to cap the massive increases to electricity and water bills, scrapping the unfair bin tax and making public transport more affordable and accessible for people on the Eastern Shore.
Luke lives with his wife, Anna, and three young children in Bellerive.
From 2018 until his election to Parliament, Luke was a hard-working, passionate Clarence Councillor. Prior to his election, Luke worked as a journalist in Tasmanian newsrooms since 2003.
